TikTok Specialist
Minority Africa is looking to hire a TikTok Specialist to spearhead our presence on this popular social media platform.
As a TikTok Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance our brand visibility, engage our audience, and drive traffic to our media content. This role requires a deep understanding of TikTok trends, creative storytelling, and the ability to connect with our target audience through compelling short-form videos.
This is a part time position for 12 months. It is a proactive role and you would be working remotely. The deadline for applications has been extended to the 10th of March 2024.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation:
- Develop and create engaging TikTok content that aligns with Minority Africa’s brand identity and resonates with our audience.
- Stay updated on TikTok trends, challenges, and features to incorporate relevant elements into our content.
Strategy Development:
- Collaborate with the Marketing, Editorial, Fellowship and other teams within Minority Africa to develop and implement a TikTok content strategy that aligns with overall marketing goals.
- Analyze data and insights to refine strategies and maximize engagement.
Audience Engagement:
- Foster community engagement by responding to comments, commissioning journalists and collaborating with influencers, and participating in relevant TikTok trends.
- Monitor and respond to audience feedback to enhance content quality.
Cross-Platform Integration:
- Collaborate with our Marketing Team to ensure seamless integration of TikTok content with other platforms.
- Explore opportunities for cross-promotion and collaboration with influencers.
Analytics and Reporting:
- Track and analyze key performance metrics on TikTok, providing regular reports to evaluate the success of campaigns and identify areas for improvement.
- Utilize analytics to make data-driven decisions and optimize content strategies.
What should you have?
- Proven experience as a TikTok content creator or specialist.
- Strong understanding of TikTok trends, challenges, and features.
- Excellent video editing skills using relevant tools and software.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for visual storytelling.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with social media analytics and data interpretation.
- Journalism knowledge is an added advantage but not a requirement.
Remuneration
Salary: $250/month
